Macias,Demetrio age 74, of Yonkers died Saturday, January 27, 2007. Mr. Macias was born April 9, 1932 in Colombia, the son of the late Juan and the late Energida (Carmona) Macias. He is survived by his wife: Judith (Saurez) Macias, one daughter: Betty Macias and two sons William Macias, Freddy Macias. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 at St. Peter Church, Riverdale Avenue, Yonkers with Father Antonio officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Yonkers on Monday at 12:30
MacAllister, Doris (Sickles) 73 year old Armonk resident passed away
on January 23. Born February 27, 1933 in Port Chester, NY to George
and Arline Sickles. She attended Port Chester schools and graduated
from PCHS in 1950. After graduation from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial
School she worked for Time Inc. in NYC. On September 1, 1956 she
married William M. MacAllister, Jr. They moved to Armonk in 1958
where she resided. She was a member of the Armonk United Methodist
Church and has been a loyal worker until her illness. She was an
inactive member of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1097. While in
P.C. she was affiliated with the Senior Girl Scout Mariners as a
member and assistant leader. For 16 years she was a volunteer in the
Activities Dept. of The Ruth Taylor Home in Valhalla. She is survived
by her husband and three sons: William (Tim) of Mahopac, NY, Thomas
of Rochester, NY, and James (Rusty) of Port Chester, NY and nine
grandchildren. Also surviving her is her brother George Sickles of
Armonk. Doris (Grandma Mac) deeply inspired her family and friends
with the sense of humor, compassion and courage that she lived with.
A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church in
Armonk, NY on Saturday January 27 at 11 AM. Remembrances may be sent

Farquhar,Tharald (Scotty) Olsen Maxwell Chisholm 91, of Banksville,
NY, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2007. He was born December
13, 1915, in Armonk, NY, to Alexander Farquhar and Jessie Taylor
Farquhar. He was a corporal in the US Army and served in the Aleutian
Islands, AK, during WW II. He returned to Armonk to become the
proprietor of Scotty's Barber Shop until 1962. He later worked as a
custodian in the Greenwich, CT, school system; and was the "founding
father" of Banksville Lawn Equipment with his son Robert. He was a
charter member of the Banksville Independent Fire Department, and
served as lieutenant in the Banksville Fire Police and Patrol; a
member of the St. Timothy's Men's Club, and the North Castle American
Legion. Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, he
is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion (Mary) Zygmont Farquhar
of Banksville; daughter Janet Farquhar Zoda and her husband John, of
Brooksville, FL; son Robert (Herby) Farquhar and his wife Jane
(Missy) of Banksville, NY; and two grandchildren, Al and Courtney. He
was predeceased by his brothers Steve, Arnold, Olyon, Robert,
Theodore, Earl; and sister Alma. Always there with a kind word or
deed, and a smile or a laugh, Scotty will be greatly missed by his
family and his friends, and all who knew him. A Funeral Service will
be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at St. Timothy's
Chapel in Banksville. Interment will follow at the Middle Patent
Rural Cemetery, Middle Patent Road, Banksville, NY. There will be no
calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial
donations be made to the Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home, 70
Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT 06830, or St. timothy Chapel, North
Street, Greenwich, CT 06830.
